Works with Unity URP 2020.1 and up only. Also needs Shader Graph and VFX Graph packages installed in project. Requires "Opaque Textures" enabled in URP Asset settings.

Description

Features customizable settings of reflections, refraction, multiple colors, transparency, tiling, speed, vertex displacement and many more. The shader works entirely from procedural elements and requires no textures!


The shield is animated and reacts to getting hit or colliding with other rigidbodies. It also uses a C# script to coordinate the shield's state and animations, with settings for getting hit, loading, breaking and regenerating. Code is well commented and easy to configure to your needs.


The shield's shader is made entirely with VFX graph, with every node and subgraph clearly grouped and organized to be easily understandable and accessible.


The material can be applied to any 3D model (with proper UV Unwrapping) on a MeshRenderer or SkinnedMeshRenderer. Works with geometric shapes, characters, ships, props, etc. to bring


Included is a scene with multiple shield examples and an FPS controller to shoot and test them.

-C# script controls shield's animations and hit detection

-Requires URP 2020 and above and Shader/ VFX Graph packages installed

-Uses the Scene Color node, which requires "Opaque Texture" to be checked ON in URP settings

-Can also use "Depth Texture" for additional effects
