A boid simulation to suit your 2D needs.
Swarm2D manages large flocks/swarms of your own GameObjects allowing behaviours to be added into the flocks such as:
- Follow Waypoints
- Avoid Obstacles
- Targetting & Collisions
- Gravity to simulation gravity or bouyancy
- Attraction to a certain area
Included with this package are:
- Prefabs ready to go
- All scripts to build
- Several scenes to show how to use Swarm2D
Two versions of the swarm controller are included, the standard one and a high performance GPU accelerated version.
Build swarms and flocks into your game, or use it as sandbox and have fun
Simply add a BoidSwarm prefab to your scene, and then one of the BoidEmitters. Select the Prefabe you want use as the flock members (boids), and you are ready to go.
Obstacle avoidance is as simple as adding a collider to anything you want them to avoid, and the add the "Avoid Obstacles" behaviour to the swarm.
* Please check the aupplied manual for information on creating layers for the obstacle and collision behaviours to work propely
